OUR STORY
A company of VALDETTARO GROUP
VALDETTARO GROUP is made up of companies that have been operating for decades in the nautical sector, offering multiple services: from shipbuilding, to marina services, up to accommodation and tourist experiences, all with a common denominator: a great passion for the sea.
A dynamic industrial group in continuous expansion, which operates from Liguria to Tuscany, up to Sardinia. Born to keep the tradition of historic Italian shipyards alive, it then focused on offering a complete range of services, becoming a point of reference for the upper Tyrrhenian Sea for the maintenance of boats ranging from small wooden fishing boats to mega yachts of 100m.

PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT
The creation of a green marina
The group was born from the intuitions of the Vanelo family, entrepreneurs in the marble sector from Massa Carrara and great enthusiasts of boating. In 1994 the family took over a piece of land between La Spezia and Portovenere, where there was a ferry shipyard, with the intention of creating something completely different: a small, well-equipped harbour in the Gulf of Poets.
One of the sons, Ugo Vanelo, world sailing champion in 1988, became passionate about the family project. This is how the first floating green harbour in Italy was born, a low environmental impact structure, an oasis of tranquility in a strategic position.
MARINA DEL FEZZANO has been a signatory since 2012 of the Regional Memorandum of Understanding – Charter of Tourist and Environmental Services, and makes sure that all interventions are carried out with the utmost attention for the environment, using decantation tanks and suction machines with activated carbon filters.

Boating and tourism
VALDETTARO GROUP is not only shipyards and harbour. Stronlgy believing in the potential of this territory, it has invested in experiential tourism with About Italy Holiday, proposing a sustainable tourism model that respects the coastal environment and local products.
